My wife is a HUGE fan of Casino 3D, a really OLD (2004?) game that she has played for years and years -- and amassed a FORTUNE doing it. She prefers it to the newer games, even those available in Win10 via the Microsoft Store.

Her PC is failing and I need to "move" the game to a new PC.

So, I set up the new PC, installed the game from the Hoyle CD, and tried to "migrate" the game to it. I tried two different migration applications (Laplink PC Mover, and EaseUS PC transfer), and while both claimed to migrate the app properly, when I opened it, there were no players or scores.

So, I copied the entire folder from the old PC to the new one -- same result.

I found a post online that claimed the game stats and players were "encrypted" into the runtime .exe file, but since I copied that file, as well, if that were the case, it should have worked.

So, is there any way to "migrate" the game settings and stats?

I'm having the same problems with Hoyle Card Games and with Hoyle Table Games -- so should open threads on those, as well?

You might find some handy information on our forums over here: http://forums.encoreusa.com/tt.asp?forumid=153

Please be aware that if your computer is Windows 10 you may have some problems running the older games.

Products that are 32 bit won't install to the correct folder so some workarounds are needed. Also, it's true about it being encrypted into the EXE, we don't have the information for Hoyle Casino 3D any longer so there is no known way to move it at this point.

Hoyle Casino 3D should work without issues since we use a totally different way to create your face, etc. (Facemaker) But it's not the same as the older versions which used a profile settings folder, etc.

The problem is not Win10 per se -- as the game is working just fine in Win10 32-bit on the old PC.

The problem is, I can't figure out any way to migrate the user info to the new PC.

I copied over the entire Casino 3D folder in Program Files to the new PC, including the .exe file and the "User"n folders and log files -- but that does not seem to make any difference.

The .exe file still has the original 2005 date on it, so if it get modified to contain user information and gaming stats, then I would suspect the date-time stamp would change over time to reflect that, but it does not.

Also, I went to the links you suggested and there was a thread about a v1.3 Patch to the game, but all the links to that were dead. So, that is no longer available?

I can check and see what we have. However this product is unsupported any longer so I can't guarantee anything.

So, I followed up and I was told that newer copies that Encore sold in the jewel case variety (not the tall box version) have V 1.3 already embedded into the game.

You can tell if you have it by playing a game of roulette and seeing if there are sound effects associated with spinning and the ball landing in the wheel
